Underfloor Thermostats

Electronic underfloor Thermostats for hydronic underfloor heating systems

An ideal way to control your under floor heating is with a digital thermostat and electrically operated valves on the manifold to control the flow of water to each zone depending on the temperature set at the thermostat. The thermostat can be setup in a couple of different ways. It can measure the air temperature or a temperature probe can be put into the slab and measure the slab temperature.

Measuring the slab temperature is a much more accurate and true method of controlling the floor. As with sensors measuring the room temperature are subject to drafts and can send false reading to the floor system causing unnecessary heating of the floor. Most hydronic underfloor systems only require a floor temperature of 19-21 degrees C which makes for a very comfortable environment.
